ABOUT RAZ

Raz Devraj is a multimedia sports journalist with experience covering professional and collegiate sports across North America. A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, he has built his career around reporting, writing, and creating digital content across multiple platforms.

Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, sports were always a major part of Raz's life. When it came time to choose a career path, he knew sports had to remain a part of it, eventually turning that passion into a career in sports journalism.

While writing and reporting are at the core of his work, Raz has developed a versatile multimedia skill set that includes social media content creation, video and audio editing, photography, news packages, graphic design, and podcasting. He is proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, Audition, and Photoshop, and is fluent across social media platforms such as Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube.

Throughout his career, Raz has covered hockey, basketball, soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse across the NHL, NBA, MLS, and NCAA. Most recently, he covered the Los Angeles Kings for The Hockey Writers as a credentialed beat reporter, producing game coverage, features, analysis, and breaking news. His experience also includes working as a Digital Sports Reporter with Cronkite News L.A./Arizona PBS, creating Calgary Flames content for FlamesNation and The Nation Network, covering the Arizona Coyotes with PHNX Sports, and reporting on Arizona State hockey, basketball, and lacrosse for Inferno Intel.

Whether he's in the press box, interviewing players and coaches, writing against a deadline, or creating content for digital and social platforms, Raz brings a strong knowledge of sports and a multimedia approach to telling the stories surrounding them.
